You're Awesome, so be Awesome!
CEO Thought of the Week
Happy Friday!
I hope you’ve had a good week and that you’re looking forward to an exciting weekend!
What a week it has been across our Trust with so much happening that its almost impossible to list it all! I have had the privilege of visiting three Infinity schools this week and spending some time with our wonderful children and fantastic staff. I witnessed an amazing Rock concert at Long Bennington and was impressed by how much the children (and staff) threw themselves into the experience. I have spoken with many teachers and TA’s who feel that they are banging their heads against a wall sometimes, but this was “headbanging” of a different kind. 😊 All with the aim of raising self-esteem across the whole school. The children were introduced to the acronym “Y.A.S.B.A” by RockKidz which stands for “You’re Awesome, so be Awesome”! It was amazing to see (and hear) the children shouting this to one another and encouraging each other so positively in their dance and rock guitar battles.
To be honest I feel that across our Trust I could be screaming “YASBA” at so many people at the moment. There have been so many examples of people being awesome just by being themselves and quietly going about their roles whilst contributing and supporting others. I have been fortunate to be able to share some of your amazing work with the Diocese this week, with the Department for Education as well as two other academy Trusts. All of whom were genuinely impressed by all that collectively we do across Infinity! I know when you’re flying around at 100mph it can be hard to get perspective on whether you’re doing the right thing and whether you’re actually getting somewhere but I can proudly say that across our Trust and in each of our schools we are achieving positive things. So, this weekend give yourself a minute, pause, reflect, and then scream “YASBA” in the mirror…… because you are awesome so keep on being awesome!!
Thanks for all you do & enjoy your weekend!
