The Infinity Academies Trust Trademarks
CEO Thought of the Week
Dear Infinity Team,
As we continue our journey at Infinity Academies Trust, it is crucial that we uphold our core values and maintain consistency in our actions. Our Infinity Trademarks define who we are and guide our daily practices. These should have been shared with you on many occasions by your school leaders and are displayed in most school but at the halfway point in the year let us recommit to these principles together:
- Maintain Complete Consistency: In all that we have agreed upon, consistency is key. If something isn’t working, communicate openly—don’t go rogue. Together, we build a stronger foundation.
- Thoughtful Change: When considering procedural changes, systems, or practices, thorough research is essential. Only implement changes when we have evidence that they lead to improvement. Gradual implementation ensures stability.
- A Welcoming Environment: Our school environment matters. Keep it up-to-date, tidy, and organised. It reflects our commitment to excellence. Remember, appearances count.
- Service Profession: We are here to serve. Genuine interest, care, and respect lie at the heart of our roles. A smile and politeness go a long way.
- Holistic Curriculum: Never narrow the curriculum. Every subject area matters. Our students deserve a well-rounded education.
- Shared Responsibility: Behaviour, welfare, and safeguarding are everyone’s concern. Know the procedures, follow them diligently, and seek advice when needed.
- Professional Growth: We are lifelong learners. Seize Professional Development Meetings (PDMs) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities. Maintain your own professional learning log.
- Adherence to Deadlines: Stick to deadlines. If you encounter difficulties, speak up and seek help. We’re a team, and support is available.
- Empowering Students: Encourage hard work, effective explanations, second chances, brilliant questions, and independent exploration. Make lessons interesting and engaging.
- People First: Our priority is people—students, colleagues, and our wider community. Collaborate, celebrate achievements, and give generously of your time. The reciprocity will be rewarding.
Thank you for embodying these trademarks. Together, we can ensure everyone is “Ready to Learn; Prepared to Flourish”.
Have a great weekend!
Gavin
