"Deputies"
** We use the "Deputies" title to refer to all those whose role requires them to deputise for the Headteacher in their absence. The actual title of this person varies across our schools dependent on their size and leadership structure.**

Today's "Deputies" meeting focussed on reviewing and agreeing the Infinity School Improvement Model. The Trust has produced this in a booklet format for ease of access and to enable schools leaders to share this effectively with their wider teams. We also re-visited the Data Strategy and the link between SLT and Core Subject Leaders.

At Infinity Academies Trust we don't mandate a particular approach to the curriculum as we feel its is essential that schools are able to make their own decisions about what works best for their context and their teams. Instead, our school leaders agree to uphold a set of principles around Teaching & Learning, Curriculum and Leadership that ensure our academies deliver high quality teaching, an ambitious curriculum and encourage the development of leaders at all levels.
Today, the "Deputies" group mirrored the activity completed with Headteachers earlier in the day and met to review and discuss these principles in practise. They shared how they had driven CPD in their schools, how they were monitored and how they could be "tweaked" to make them even more effective. It was great to see the alignment between Headteachers and "Deputies" on the ambition to deliver on these principles across our schools.

Today, Infinity "Deputies" met to hear the reflections of our School Improvement Director and Teaching and Learning Lead following their recent involvement in an Ofsted Inspection at our school outside of our Trust. This experience enabled the Central Trust Team to refine their approach to supporting Infinity schools during an inspection and to provide some practical hints and tips for successfully supporting schools and their teams through the inspection process.
The update sparked a wide range of conversations and offered a huge amount of reassurance to our schools that they are doing the right things and that the Trust is here to support them.
15th October 2021
"Deputies" met to discuss their individual school curriculum models. Each school presented their curriculum intent, the key tools they are using for implementation and the methods for measuring impact.
Really impressive to see how schools and leaders are actively choosing a curriculum models that meets specifically the needs of their context and involving colleagues in the key curriculum decisions.
