On A Roll!
CEO Thought for the Week
Dear All,
Another Wednesday rolls around and the school year is definitely in full swing now! I hope all our new starters are settling positively and that routines are starting to become more familiar for all those new people- big and small!
I have been thrilled with the positive start our schools have made to the year. On my visits I can see how there is a determination amongst colleagues to raise aspirations and make every minute count in supporting our learners. I have had some fascinating conversations with Teachers and TA's about their new classes and how they are already identifying gaps and specific needs in order to allow their children to flourish. It is this constant reflection and analysis that will see our children make amazing progress throughout the year. As was mentioned at one of our networks last week- our job is to "see a need, fill a need" when it comes to not just our children's learning but their pastoral care as well.
I am very grateful for the professional patience and courtesy that has been extended to another group of "new starters" our new Core Services team as they race to develop new systems and processes provided from the centre that serve our schools best and make the most of the resources we have. This team is pulling out all the stops and we are already finding new ways of working that will bring long term benefits to all schools. Thank you as well for making the Central team colleagues feel so welcome when visiting your schools. I absolutely love it when children know who we are and how we work to help them even if that's not from within their school building. Thank you for taking the time to teach them about the Trust, the wider team and our school family.
We are absolutely on a roll as a Trust and I'm very appreciative of all you do to keep that momentum going!
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Best Wishes
Gavin
