Ready to Learn; Prepared to Flourish I
CEO Thought of the Week
Dear Colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well and that you’ve had a good week. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and dedication to our pupils and our trust. You are the reason why Infinity Academies Trust and our schools are held in such positive regard across the county and beyond!
As you know, our vision is to ensure everyone is “Ready to Learn; Prepared to Flourish”. As shared at the conference at the beginning of the year to achieve this, we need to have high aspirations for ourselves, our pupils, and our communities. Having high aspirations means setting ambitious goals, striving for continuous improvement, and overcoming challenges with resilience and optimism. As we reach the mid-year point in the school year it’s a useful time to reset and reinvigorate those high aspirations.
Why is this important? Because having high aspirations has a positive impact on:
**Pupil attitudes and behaviour**: When we have high expectations for our pupils, they are more likely to develop a growth mindset, a positive self-image, and a sense of responsibility. They are also more likely to engage in learning, behave respectfully, and achieve their potential.
**Staff and community relationships**: When we have high aspirations for ourselves, we are more likely to collaborate effectively, support each other, and celebrate our successes. We are also more likely to build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders, and to promote a culture of trust and mutual respect.
**Working environment**: When we have high aspirations for our settings, we are more likely to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for learning and teaching. We are also more likely to embrace innovation, diversity, and creativity, and to foster a sense of pride and belonging.
Therefore, I urge you to keep your aspirations high and to share them with your colleagues, pupils, and communities. Together, we can make a difference and achieve our vision.
Thank you for your commitment and enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing you soon and have an amazing weekend.
Best Wishes
Gavin
