At our schools, we believe that regular attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children achieve their full potential. We encourage all pupils to aim for an attendance rate of at least 95%, enabling them to benefit fully from their education and wider school experiences.
We monitor attendance and punctuality carefully to ensure that children receive the support they need. Where attendance or punctuality becomes a concern, we will work with families to understand any challenges and explore ways in which the school may be able to provide assistance. This may include arranging a meeting to discuss attendance and identify any appropriate support or next steps.
Whilst we understand that some absences are unavoidable due to illness or exceptional circumstances, we are committed to working in partnership with families to ensure that every child has the best possible opportunity to succeed. Regular attendance and punctuality play a vital role in a child's learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging within the school community.
If you are experiencing any difficulties that may be affecting your child's attendance, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school. Our aim is to provide guidance, support and practical solutions wherever possible, helping families to address any barriers to regular attendance before concerns become more significant.
By working together, we can support your child to achieve their full potential, maintain positive friendships and make the most of every learning opportunity. We greatly appreciate your ongoing cooperation and commitment to your child's education.
