    Reverend Stephen Holt

I am currently a priest in the diocese of Lincoln. I was ordained in July 2011 serving a curacy in the Grimsby Team ministry and am currently Associate Rector for the Parish of Boston. I am the lead priest for all pastoral decisions and occasional offices and I also chair the Boston foodbank. I have a passion for the education of young children particularly around faith. I have good communication and pastoral skills and have a clear understanding of how important the role of governance is to a school and its success. I believe I am a person of high integrity and am effective in the execution of duties.  I have been a   foundation governor  of  St  Thomas Primary School with shared responsibility for safeguarding and am currently a governor of Boston Grammar School - with shared responsibility for safeguarding and sixth form support.

    Simon Morley

My career in education began in September 1997 as a newly qualified teacher. I have taught in five different schools, been a senior leader since 2002 and a headteacher at two different schools since 2010. I therefore have extensive experience of primary school education. I have spent fifteen years of my career in Church of England primary schools. At Chestnut Street Church of England Primary School, I was the religious education leader and whilst in this role contributed to an “outstanding” SIAMS inspection in June 2011. As headteacher at Kirkby on Bain Church of England Primary School, I led the school through two SIAMS inspections with the most recent, in July 2017, achieving “outstanding” in all areas. I have a working knowledge of a multi-academy trust in my current role as headteacher at Boston West Academy which is part of the CfBT Schools Trust.

    Paul Thompson

Paul was appointed as Director of Education for the Diocese of Lincoln in September 2021. Having been a successful Deputy Director of Education since 2010, Paul has an excellent knowledge of the 142 schools in the diocese. Paul has built a very strong school education team to develop high quality church school education throughout the diocese. He is able to draw on the strengths and expertise within the diocesan schools as well as the team of advisers and key partners in education such as the teaching school hubs, local authorities and multi-academy trusts. Paul’s career in education spans 30 years with the majority of that time in senior leadership positions. He holds the NPQH qualification and has been a successful headteacher for seven years, achieving a good Ofsted and Outstanding SIAMs inspection during this time. He uses his wealth of experience to lead the education advisers and ensure the school improvement strategies bring about sustained development in schools and academies.
