CEO Thought for the Week

Hope you’re having a good week. 

I read something this week about the increasingly difficult financial trade-offs schools are having to make, and it struck a chord.

The challenge faced across all schools is that most things we spend money on are there for a very good reason. So financial pressure rarely presents us with an easy choice. More often, we are deciding between two things that both matter. We are constantly involved in having to make trade-offs between two things we really want to be able to do.

I think the important thing is how we respond. We stay honest about the choices, keep children and colleagues at the centre of our thinking, and remain curious about whether there is another way.

Being part of Infinity means we can do that together. We can share solutions, learn from one another and use our collective resources and expertise more thoughtfully.

We won’t always find a perfect answer, but we can keep making thoughtful choices for the right reasons.
