CEO Thought for the Week
Hi everyone,
I hope you’re doing well! Only seven more get-ups before we can all enjoy the well-deserved Christmas break.
As we all countdown to Christmas, I’m sure you’ll be aware that this week’s Advent theme is Faith, and it reminded me of one of my favourite childhood hymns — the one about having “faith as small as a mustard seed.” It’s funny how a simple line from a school hymn can stick with you… and still ring true all these years later! A tiny seed, but as the hymn says, faith as small as a mustard seed is powerful enough to move mountains.
And that’s exactly what I see happening across Infinity every day. It’s the small moments — the encouraging word, the calm in a chaotic corridor, the creative lesson, the quiet kindness — that grow into something so much bigger. I see this all the time, but it's particularly evident now in this busy period as I see so many of you encouraging from the wings in all our Christmas performances, having that extra dose of patience and ensuring Christmas in school is truly magical! If we put together all those little “mustard seed moments”, you soon realise we really are moving mountains for our children, our families, and each other.
Thank you for bringing belief, optimism, and a good amount of humour to your work (especially in the mad dash toward Christmas!). I hope, amongst the business, you get a moment to pause and appreciate the difference those small acts of faith make.
Thanks to you all- you really are moving mountains!
Best Wishes
Gavin
