CEO Thought for the Week
Hi All
I hope you’ve had a good week so far, and I can’t believe another week has flown by!
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting three of our schools this week and each time I arrive I’m full of this week’s value …. Curiosity. It is a fantastic privilege to visit our schools, and I’m always eager to find out what has changed since my last visit, what challenges the school is tackling and how the brilliant staff teams are adapting, changing, and creating new approaches to meet the needs of our children and families. So, this week, I want to reflect on the value of curiosity—a quality that sits at the heart of great teaching and strong teamwork across Infinity.
Curiosity is the desire to explore, understand, and make sense of the world. It’s what drives us to ask questions, investigate ideas, and stay open to learning. In schools, curiosity isn’t just a trait—it’s a mindset that shapes how we see our pupils, our practice, and each other. For us as educators, curiosity matters because it fuels continuous improvement. Curious colleagues reflect deeply, seek new approaches, and look for better ways to support children’s learning. It strengthens problem-solving, opens the door to innovation, and helps us navigate the complexity of school life with creativity and optimism. Most importantly, when we model curiosity, we show our pupils what it looks like to be active, engaged learners. We give them permission to wonder, to explore, and to develop the confidence to think independently.
As a Trust rooted in high expectations and strong relationships, curiosity helps keep our work fresh, purposeful, and joyful. I am so proud to work in a Trust full of curious professionals supporting equally curious pupils!

Best wishes,
Gavin
