Growth

CEO Thought for the Week

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are doing well and that you are steering clear of the colds and coughs that seem to be everywhere!

This week I’ve been reflecting on the idea of growth – not just as something we talk about, but as something we live every day at Infinity.

Growth shows up in lots of ways. It’s in the way we develop as people, the way our schools evolve to meet changing needs, and the way the Trust continues to grow and strengthen as a family of schools. None of that happens by accident – and none of it is ever completely straightforward.

Personal growth can be uncomfortable. It asks us to pause, reflect, and sometimes face things we’d rather avoid. Organisational growth brings its own challenges too. As a Trust, we’re making decisions, learning as we go, and trying to balance ambition with care. We won’t always get it right – and that’s okay. Progress doesn’t come from perfection.

What really matters is how we respond. Curiosity to ask good questions. Reflection to learn from what’s working (and what isn’t). And patience – with ourselves and with each other – as we build something sustainable and meaningful for the long term.

Thank you for the part you play in that growth every single day. It’s your commitment, care and willingness to keep learning that gives me real confidence in the future we’re building together.

Have a great second half of the week.

Best wishes,
Gavin

P.S. – An exciting and busy week for us next week as the Abbey Academies Trust consultation comes to an end. We hold interviews for our new Finance Director, Chief Education Officer, HR Manager and other roles. And it's also half term at the end of the week! We will keep you updated with it all as we go along!!
