Integrity

CEO Thought for the Week

Hi Everyone,

I hope the week is going well for you all.

This week, I want to reflect on another of our core Infinity values: Integrity. It’s a word we use often, but its real power lies in how we live it day to day — especially in our work with children, families, and with each other.

For me, integrity isn’t just about doing the right thing when people are watching. It’s about the quiet, everyday decisions we make that demonstrate who we are and what we stand for. In a Trust like ours, built on relationships and high expectations, integrity is the thread that holds everything together.

As leaders, teachers, and professionals working in service of our communities, we have a responsibility to walk the walk. Our pupils notice far more than we sometimes realise. The way we speak to each other, the standards we uphold, the consistency in our actions — these shape the culture of our schools and send powerful messages to our children about what kind of people we aspire to be.

Acting with integrity means:

  • Doing what we say we will do
  • Keeping our promises to colleagues, families, and pupils
  • Being honest and respectful, even when things are difficult
  • Holding each other (and ourselves) to the high standards we believe in

I want you to know how personally important this value is to me. Integrity is at the heart of how I try to lead — being open, following through, and setting an example I would want anyone in our Trust to follow. None of us will get it right all the time, but the commitment to act with integrity, even in the small moments, is what defines our culture.

Thank you for continuing to model this so brilliantly across our family of schools. Every positive interaction, every difficult conversation handled with honesty and care, and every moment you choose to do the right thing — even when it’s not the easiest option — strengthens Infinity and the experience our pupils have every day.

Let’s keep walking the walk together.

Best Wishes
Gavin
