Every school within Infinity Academies Trust – 17 primary schools based across Greater Lincolnshire - has officially achieved Parent-Friendly School Status, marking a significant milestone in the Trust’s commitment to building strong partnerships between schools and families.
This recognition has been awarded through the Parent-Friendly Schools initiative, which supports schools in developing positive relationships with parents and carers to improve communication, engagement and support for children’s learning and wellbeing.
In order to achieve the award, schools across the Trust were required to look at every area of engagement with families, preparing a programme of activities, evidencing their work and documenting their interactions including school-wide communications and events throughout the year.
While the Trust’s schools engage with parents in different ways, some of the highlights include the fantastic work of the PTAs, parents and grandparents reading cafes and a range of family learning sessions with topics including cooking on a budget and family finances.
Gavin Booth, CEO at Infinity Academies Trust, said: “Parents and carers play a vital role in every child’s education, and we know that this can have a significant impact on attendance, wellbeing and education outcomes for our pupils.
“We are committed to ensuring every family feels welcomed, listened to and involved in school life – it’s what helps our communities to thrive.
“We are so proud that all of our schools have now been recognised as Parent-Friendly Schools and look forward to continuing to develop these important partnerships with families and working towards the silver award next year.”
