New laptops support learning at Leadenham CE Primary Academy

Pupils from Leadenham CE Primary Academy now have access to a brand-new set of laptops to use as part of their learning.

The laptops, which have been provided for pupils across every classroom, form part of a school-wide upgrade of IT systems, hardware and broadband that has taken place over the last few months.

Matthew Nicholson, Headteacher, said: “At Leadenham CE Primary, we believe passionately in allowing children to explore and investigate, nurturing creativity and providing challenge for all pupils. We also focus on equipping our pupils with the skills, knowledge and understanding to become positive citizens of the future - so we need to make sure that they have the right tools to support them in achieving these goals.

“Ensuring our facilities and learning aids are not only fit for purpose, but also fit for the future is incredibly important, particularly due to our rural location and as technology becomes ever more central to all of our lives. We’ve already had lots of positive feedback from pupils and staff alike on our brilliant new laptops and all the other changes that have been made.”

The IT upgrade programme was supported by Infinity Academies Trust, a family of primary schools, which Leadenham CE Primary joined in September 2022. Alongside investment in the school’s IT infrastructure, staff also have access to a wealth of opportunities to share best practice and resources with other local schools.

Gavin Booth, CEO of Infinity Academies Trust, said: “Leadenham CE Primary already does so much to create an environment where children flourish and grow, so it is a privilege to support them to continue to enhance the learning offer for pupils.

“A project like this is an investment that will support the school for many years to come.”
