Our Academies

Gipsey Bridge Academy

Gipsey Bridge Academy strives to offer a personalised approach to learning that involves pupils, parents and staff working together to ensure children achieve their potential. The school maintains its traditional small school values and family ethos whilst being forward thinking and embracing the opportunity to work with other schools.

In 2009 Ofsted stated:

This is a school that is at the heart of the community it serves and where all staff willingly go the extra mile to support pupils and their parents and carers. As a result pupils achieve well in their academic development and outstandingly in their personal development.

In 2014 Ofsted stated:

Leaders have a very accurate view of the school’s strengths and areas for improvement. They use this information well to ensure that teaching and pupils’ progress are continually improving. The early years work is outstanding. Children in the Reception class learn extremely well.

Some aspects of teaching are very strong, such as the teaching of phonics and marking in English and Mathematics.

Pupils behave well, are enthusiastic and their learning and are proud of their academy. They are respectful to adults and each other as they move around the academy and play outside.

parents, providing opportunities for engagement. We are fully focussed on providing children with a learning adventure through an immersive

learning culture culminating in exciting learning environments both inside and out.
